JOB SUMMARY:
Manages the company痴 entire sales operation, overseeing a direct outside sales force and inside sales support group. Creates selling strategies for highly engineered, premium component products sold primarily to OEM customers. Provides support, tracks performance and recommends improvement strategies to increase overall sales and profitability of the sales force.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Force Management - Develops and implements systems to accurately forecast revenue generation and the flow of orders to the company. Manages, develops and directs sales staff to achieve sales and profit goals within their territories. Directly manages certain key accounts. Conducts regular sales management meetings, reviews performance data with the individual sales staff, and recommends areas for improvement on key performance indicators. Develops sales targets, provides proper incentives and tools to maximize efforts of the sales force. Ensures that incentives are fairly allocated based on performance. Provides adequate product training and administrative support.
Inside Staff Management - Effectively directs the day-to-day efforts of the inside staff through regular staff meetings and open communication. Listens to staff concerns and addresses issues in a timely manner. Regularly assesses staff performance by monitoring performance metrics and performance reviews.
Sales Growth, Existing Markets - Focuses the sales force on maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships. Monitors calling activity to ensure that key accounts are contacted regularly, that any problems are promptly addressed, and that the organization is aware of all new development opportunities.
Sales Growth, New Markets - Motivates the sales force to seek out new customer opportunities and industries. Ensures that all new qualified leads are followed up in a timely manner. Provides the sales force with new product data and industry information to help target new opportunities.
Customer Service - Instills a culture of customer satisfaction, while also balancing the profit motive of the company. Effectively works with internal departments to coordinate activities, achieve the best results, and exceed customer expectations.
